Solar Roofer
Flowing Energy Solutions is offering an exciting opportunity to join our expanding renewable division as a Solar Roofer. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality solar PV installations across domestic and commercial projects. The position is based in the North East of England, with travel to sites as required.
About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable and skilled individual with roofing experience who is interested in developing within the renewable energy sector. Previous solar PV experience is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Previous roofing experience essential
- Solar PV installation experience preferred but not essential
- Willingness to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector
- CSCS Card preferred
- Working at Height experience preferred
- Good awareness of health and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Remuneration:
Details regarding wages will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Responsibilities:
The Solar Roofer will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Installing solar PV mounting systems and panels on pitched and flat roofs
- Removing and reinstating tiles and slates as required
- Ensuring all roof penetrations are properly sealed and weatherproofed
- Assessing roof condition prior to installation and reporting any issues
- Working safely at height in accordance with company procedures
- Loading and handling materials safely on site
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting electrical installation teams where required
- Following all company health and safety procedures
