Asbestos Analyst
Location: North East
Asbestos Surveying & Monitoring Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as an Asbestos Analyst. This role will involve carrying out asbestos analytical services across a range of sites and projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with relevant industry standards and regulations.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced, professional, and reliable Asbestos Analyst with strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- BOHS P403 qualification or equivalent essential
- BOHS P404 qualification or equivalent essential
- Previous experience working as an Asbestos Analyst preferred
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations, guidance, and industry standards
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Remuneration:
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
The Asbestos Analyst will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Carrying out air monitoring and air testing in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
- Undertaking four stage clearance procedures following licensed asbestos removal works
- Carrying out reassurance, background, leak, and personal air monitoring as required
- Conducting visual inspections of asbestos removal areas
- Accurately recording findings and producing clear analytical reports and documentation
- Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, asbestos removal teams, and other site personnel
- Ensuring equipment is used, maintained, and checked appropriately
- Working independently across a range of sites and environments
- Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance across all analytical work
- Following all company health and safety procedures
