Site Manager – Roofing & Associated Trades

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee a major roofing project in Northumberland, managing roofing works alongside associated trades to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to join a long-term project with a competitive package and the opportunity to work with an established team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.
You will coordinate roofing contractors and associated trades, liaise with clients and subcontractors, and ensure smooth project delivery from start to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site activities for roofing and associated trade packages
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in line with HSE regulations
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Monitor project progress against programme deadlines
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks
- Maintain accurate site records and reports
- Lead site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Ensure materials and labour resources are efficiently managed
- Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively
- Promote a positive and professional working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on roofing or refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems and associated construction trades
- SMSTS certification essential
- CSCS Black or Gold Card preferred
- First Aid at Work certification
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site activities
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence preferred
