Wagon Driver
About the Role
The successful candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate a combination of qualities including:
· Relevant experience in a similar role (required)
· Digital Tachograph Card (in-date)
· Valid HGV License
· Valid CPC (preferred)
· Knowledge of load security using rachet straps and other methods
· Good knowledge of the area (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will include all aspects of contract management, including:
· Deliver materials to site using Hiab vehicle
· Loading / unloading equipment and materials
· Refuel on-site
· Completion of daily vehicle inspections and reporting defects to transport department
· Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
· Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
· Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.
