Project Overview
Neville Hall, originally built in the 1870s as a country house, is a Grade II listed building located in Newcastle City Centre. The project required specialist scaffolding solutions to support refurbishment works while protecting the historic structure.
Ingleford Scaffolding Ltd worked with Brims Construction to design and install a range of bespoke scaffold systems across the building.
The Solution
Multiple scaffold structures were designed to provide safe access across the site. One key installation included an access lifting beam trolley system around the core of the building, allowing materials to be moved safely to the roof areas.
A NIKO rail system was also incorporated to allow glazing panels to be transported securely around the scaffold. Due to access restrictions from a neighbouring building overhang, the scaffold design was adapted and re erected to step under and around the obstruction in less than 48 hours.
The Result
The bespoke scaffold solutions enabled safe and efficient access for the refurbishment works while accommodating the constraints of the listed building and surrounding structures throughout the 52 week project.
