Project Overview
John Flowers Ltd is delivering a large-scale re-roofing programme for South Tyneside Council covering 430 properties. The works commenced in November 2025 and are scheduled for completion by the end of September 2026, creating an overall programme duration of approximately 11 months.
The Solution
The programme includes full re-roofing works using a complete Marley specification roofing system, including battens, felt, tiles, ridge tiles, dry ridge systems and dry verge systems with nailed and clipped installation.
Additional works include loft insulation top-ups and the installation of new rainwater goods and downpipes, delivered by Flowing Construction Services Ltd.
The Result
The project is improving the durability, weather protection and energy efficiency of homes across South Tyneside, providing residents with modern, long-lasting roofing systems.
