Project Overview
John Flowers Ltd is delivering a large scale re roofing programme across 88 occupied properties on behalf of Livin Housing, working with principal contractor Mears Group. The works are taking place across Ferryhill, Chilton, West Cornforth and Bishop Middleham over an 18 week programme.
The Solution
The project involves the full strip and replacement of existing roofing systems, including the installation of new Redland roof tiles and ridge tiles. Modern Manthorpe dry ridge and dry verge systems are being installed to improve durability and ventilation across the roofs.
Additional works include the installation of new fascia boards, soffit boards and replacement rainwater goods, ensuring the entire roofline system is upgraded. The works are being delivered in phases while the homes remain occupied, with careful planning to minimise disruption to residents.
The Result
The programme will provide long lasting roofing systems designed to improve weather protection, ventilation and durability for homes across the Livin Housing portfolio, ensuring improved living conditions and reduced maintenance requirements.
