Project Overview

John Flowers Flat and Industrial Roofing Ltd was appointed by Vistry Countryside to deliver roofing works as part of a new build development at Sunderland Civic Centre.

The Solution

The project involved installing the UK’s largest SIKA Sarnafil Advanced Technology system, covering approximately 1,460m² across two roofs. The installation included a tapered insulation scheme to improve thermal efficiency alongside the high performance single ply waterproofing system. In addition, 230 metres of aluminium capping was installed to enhance durability and provide a clean architectural finish.

The Result

The completed roofing system delivers a durable, high performance waterproofing solution supported by a 25 year SIKA Sarnafil guarantee, ensuring long term protection for the development.
